Update 8/30/2008: PDF Print E-mail

    - Healers now receive greater armor.

  - Armor and greater armor now receive bonuses beyond 100% training. While the
initial benefits of training these abilities beyond 100% are relatively
small, some of the hidden benefits at significantly higher percentages are
*exceptionally* powerful. The bonuses received by armor and greater armor
are amplified when the caster uses the ability on himself or herself.

The benefits for greater armor are not only more powerful than armor, they
reveal unique benefits not available in armor. Finally, classes which have
these abilities but are more fighting-oriented than magic-oriented (e.g.,
paladin and warlock) do not receive the exceptional benefits available at
    the upper training levels.

See help armor and help greater armor for further details.

Armor:

Usage: cast 'armor' <target>
Usage: invoke 'armor' <target>

Usage: cast 'armor' (if no target is supplied, this ability automatically
       targets the user)
Usage: invoke 'armor' (if no target is supplied, this ability automatically
       targets the user)

A very basic spell that can be both cast and invoked. Armor grants the target
improved armor power for a short duration. Based on the intellect and wisdom
of the caster, or the willpower of the invoker, this spell can be coupled with
greater armor to have a very impressive affect. While remaining minor in power,
armor is a useful spell for anyone, as the improved armor rating is useful for
deflecting incoming non-magical attacks.

It has been rumored that this ability improves in power for users who exceed
100% ability mastery. The affects of beyond 100% training have been known to
vary based on whether or not the target of the spell is the user. Furthermore,
some of the numerous bonuses of training this ability beyond 100% are only
visible to true magic users. Those classes which are more fighters than casters
do not gain these hidden benefits.

Greater armor:

Usage: cast 'greater armor' <target>
Usage: invoke 'greater armor' <target>

Usage: cast 'greater armor' (if no target is supplied, this ability
       automatically targets the user)
Usage: invoke 'greater armor' (if no target is supplied, this ability
       automatically targets the user)

Greater armor is a slightly more powerful spell than the armor spell.

Greater armor grants the target with improved armor class for a short period.
Based on the intellect and wisdom of the caster, or the willpower of the
invoker, this spell can be coupled with armor to have a very impressive affect.
